Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
The mission of Sprenger Hospice is to provide the best hospice care possible. Our agency is dedicated to providing care to terminally ill individuals and their family members residing in the counties of Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lorian, Portage, Stark, Summit and Wayne counties.

The Philosophy of our services focuses on maximizing the patients quality of life though an individualized comprehensive care program designed to meet their physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team of staff and volunteers. In addition, following the patients death, hospice continues to maintain contact with family members through a thirteen (13) month bereavement program. All services are provided to all eligible individuals regardless of age, sex, nationality, race, religion, handicap, sexual preference, or financial circumstance. As a program, we are committed to not discontinuing or diminishing the care provided to any patient because of his/her inability to pay for that care.

Services provided directly by our agency include: nursing, medical social work, physician/medical direction, hospice aides/homemakers, spiritual and bereavement counseling. Services provided under contract arrangement include short-term inpatient care, respite, durable medical equipment and supplies, pharmacy and physical, occupational and speech-language therapies.

Sprenger Hospices goals are:
1. To help the patient live as fully and comfortably as possible.
2. To support the family as the prime unit of care.
3. To enable the patient to stay wherever they call home, or if needed to provide an appropriate care alternative.
4. To provide support and education to bereaved hospice family member and the public.
5. To educate the public about the hospice philosophy and concept of care.
6. To contain costs by supplementing- not duplicating existing services.
